Yang (Cisco) Yi is a first-year PhD student in Biomedical and Health Informatics .He has a background in biostatistics and psychology, with an MS in Biostatistics from Columbia University and a BS in Psychology from the University of Washington. His training and research experience center on statistical modeling and analysis of complex biomedical data, including work on clinical trial analysis, disease subtyping, and high-dimensional data integration in both academic and industry settings. His work draws on methods from statistical genetics and biomedical informatics, including causal and multivariate modeling approaches applied to genomic and molecular datasets. His current research focuses on methodological development in Mendelian Randomization and fine-mapping approaches for linking genetic associations with molecular traits.
