BIME lecturer David Masuda, MD, MS, was nominated for the University of Washington’s Distinguished Teaching Award for Innovation with Technology. The award recognizes a current faculty member for improving student learning or engagement through an approach that leverages technology, and is the highest teaching distinction a faculty member can receive at the University.
BHI student Laura Kneale, MS, was selected for the 2015 Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Foundation Doctorate Scholarship. She will be attending the HIMSS Awards & Recognition Gala at HIMSS16 at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, where she will be recognized. The HIMSS Foundation annually awards scholarships to HIMSS student members who have achieved academic excellence and have the potential to be future leaders in the healthcare information and management systems industry.
